Listed
below are Summaries of the DC-8 fleet's for of the Original Factory
Delivery Customers. To qualify as an 'Original Factory Delivery Customer'
the Airline must have taken delivery of at least 1 New DC-8 Directly from
Douglas (not leased or purchased from another airline or finance company).
There are 3 Tables which list each Airline Customer individually and if click
on any Airline Name this will take you to a More Detailed Summary for that
Airline's DC-8 Fleet.
Table 1: Airlines are listed in Order from the Largest Airline Factory Delivery
Customer to the Smallest.
Table 2: Airlines are listed in Order from the Largest Total Operator of DC-8's to the Smallest of the Original Delivery Customers.
Table 3: Airlines are listed in Order from the Airline who Operated the Largest Number of DC-8 Series (or Variants) to the Smallest of the Original Delivery Customers.
Some
day I would love to list not only the Original Delivery Customers in these
tables, but ALL DC-8 Operators in these tables. However, this is quite an
undertaking since there have been well over 500 DC-8 Operators and perhaps
over 1000.
I have also created separate, very detailed tables for each of the Original
Factory Delivery Customers which will enable you to see each Airline's
DC-8 Fleet listed by Manufacturer's Serial Number, Line Number, DC-8 Series,
Registration Number, Ship Number & Ship Name (if applicable), Dates Operated
and Remarks about the disposition of each aircraft in that Airline's Fleet.
These Detailed Tables can be accessed two ways - You can select them from
