* - This particular
aircraft was previously a DC-8-51 Passenger Aircraft which was
later modified to be a Freighter.
A forward cargo door was added, windows plugged and passenger
amenities removed. However, the operating
weights are still that of the DC-8-51 and not the heavier DC-8F-54
or 55.
Composition: Handmade
(aka From Scratch) Plastic Model
Dimensions: Length:
12.5" (30cm), Wingspan 12" (32cm)
Condition: Mint
History: This is another beautifully hand built model by Brad
Shinn. Brad took a regular DC-8-50F model kit and modified the
engines to replicate the Stage III noise suppressed engines. This
is the only model that I have seen that has accurate looking Stage
III engine replicas on it. Many Thanks Brad For Creating Another
Distinctive DC-8 Model!
