Model History: This Beautiful Model was Hand Made by my friend Brad Shinn. As you can see, Brad takes a standard model kit and then adds all kinds of details. The obvious ones are the flaps being down and the model sits on the landing gear. Unfortunately, the photos here don't do the model justice because Brad has added so many more small details that don't show up in them. In addition to all of the other details, Brad also "aged" the paint scheme, using his artistic talent, so it looks like a DC-8 that has flown a lot of hours & is not fresh off the production line. I added this first "kit type" model to my collection on June 30, 2005 but I am hoping Brad can do some more DC-8s for me in other airline schemes with this exquisite detail.
